Some tips of preventing engineering plastic deformation during CNC manufacturing process

Engineering plastics have been processed by secondary reheating, and the internal stress has been eliminated. But the deformation occurred after the secondary processing, the main reason is because of improper processing methods, can not be used to process engineering plastics in the way of processing metal. How to prevent engineering plastics from deforming during secondary processing? There are two methods, one is to pay attention to the trend of engineering plastic fiber when cutting material, the other is to prevent engineering plastic in the process of heat accumulation, produce new internal stress. The following are several techniques in the processing process:
1. When cutting the material, the shortest side of the work-piece is cut along the direction of the fiber.
2. When processing a plate, one side of the plate will be proceeded. After the other side is processed, it will be processed in place in reverse.
3. The choice of milling cutter, can not be more than two edges, the best is a single-edged knife, conducive to chip removal.
4. The blade must be sharp, can improve the finish of the work-piece, reduce the pressure on the work-piece, so as to improve the accuracy of the work-piece.
5. CNC programming to avoid processing time in the same position is too long, try to extend the length of the cutter.
6. Pay attention to the tool speed, feed depth and feed speed.
The above methods have only one purpose, is to reduce the heat accumulation of engineering plastics, because the heat accumulation affects the precision of the work-piece, dimensional stability;Heat accumulation will cause engineering plastics to generate stress and deformation.
