Sheet metal material expansion size calculation

The expansion drawing is the plan (2D) that is developed according to the part drawing (3D). Note the following during the expansion process,

  1. The way of development should be reasonable, and it is convenient to save materials and have proper process ability;
  2. Reasonable choice of clearance and edge wrapping method, T=2.0 clearance 0.2, T=2-3 gap 0.5, edge wrapping method using long edge wrap short edge (door panel type);
  3. Reasonable consideration of tolerance dimensions: minus tolerance using the max. value, plus tolerance using half tolerance value; for hole sizes, plus tolerance using max. value, minus tolerance using half tolerance value;
  4. Burr direction;
  5. Extraction tooth, pressure riveting, tearing, punching convex point (package), such as position direction, draw a section view;
  6. Check material, plate thickness, to plate thickness tolerance;
  7. Special Angle, bending Angle radius (general R=0.5) to try to fold and expand;
  8. Any error-prone areas (similar asymmetries) should be highlighted;
  9. Large size should be added to the place;
  10. The area to be sprayed for protection must be indicated;
